If this is to be their final home game, the seniors on the Morristown-Beard field hockey team will remember it fondly. In a quarterfinal of the North Non-Public sectional tournament, the Crimson scored a convincing 4-0 triumph over Dwight-Englewood. Chelsea Kramer scored twice for the third seed.
Carolyn Chambers and Samantha Chanzit had a goal and an assist apiece as the Crimson scored twice in each half. Goalie Devin Blanchard only had to make a couple of saves for the shutout. For Dwight-Englewood, goalie Anastasia Kuske did her best to keep her team in the game, making a number of excellent saves. Kuske had 11 saves overall. The Bulldogs finish the season at 6-12-1. Morristown-Beard improves to 16-4. Next up for the Crimson in the semifinals is a rematch with Montclair Kimberley, which defeated Mo-Beard this past weekend in the Prep B state final.
