A matchup of two of Morris County's better field hockey teams resulted in a big win for Morristown-Beard. The Crimson held off Parsippany 3-2, behind a pair of goals by Vincina Bivona.

Bivona scored twice in the second half, both times off assists by Gabby Hyman. Devin Blanchard played well in goal for Morristown-Beard, making 12 saves.

Kelly Tatulli had a first-half goal for the Crimson, assisted by Alissa Masini.

For Parsippany, Emily Davis recorded a goal and an assist, and Juliana DeIntinis had a late goal to bring the Redhawks closer. Parsippany outshot Morristown-Beard in the game, but falls to 1-1 on the season.

The Crimson, who were ranked below the Redhawks in the preseason, improve to 2-0.
