So far this season, Madison appears to be well ahead of the competition in Morris County field hockey. The Dodgers won their second straight game in dominating fashion, scoring a 9-0 shutout against Mountain Lakes. Eight different Madison players had goals as the Dodgers maintained control of the ball for most of the contest.
Kaitlyn DaSilva scored twice for Madison. Kerri Anne Murphy converted a penalty stroke and added two assists. Amanda DaSilva, Stephanie Dellavia, Elizabeth Romano, Emma Ticknor, Claire Schaenen and Sarah Luciano also scored. The Dodgers allowed just a single shot on goal. Mountain Lakes goalie Paige Ash kept the game scoreless for 23 minutes despite facing numerous shots. Ash ended up with 20 saves in the contest. Madison is 2-0, having scored 16 goals and allowed none. The Lakers fall to 1-1.
