Wayne Valley finished off a successful regular season with a 2-0 field hockey victory over Lakeland. Maddie Carlucci and Meghan Reynolds scored the goals for the Indians.

Alex Piekarz made four saves to post the shutout. Melissa Choka and Samantha Peterson had the assists on the goals in the first half and Wayne Valley held off the Lancers for the victory.

The Indians are now 11-5 as they get ready to open state tournament play on Saturday against Sparta. Wayne Valley is the fourth seed in the North 1, Group IV bracket.

Lakeland, which was already knocked out of the state tournament in North 1, Group III by Summit, finishes its season at 8-10-1.
