Written by - Monday, November 11 2013

Northern Highlands waited 20 years for a field hockey sectional title. So it wasn't a big deal for the Highlanders to wait more than 58 minutes to get the winning goal in the final game.

Lauren O'Keefe knocked home a rebound off a penalty corner with 1:29 to play to give Northern Highlands a 1-0 win over West Milford. Highlands wins the North 1, Group III championship, its first sectional title since 1993.

Highlands earned a corner with under two minutes left, and Kendall Magliaro sent the ball toward goal.
