Rallying from three runs behind, the North Arlington softball team earned a win over the host team at the Clifton Invitational softball event. The Vikings scored four times in the fourth inning and went on to post a 9-5 win over Clifton. Allie Zaros blasted a home run leading off that fourth inning for North Arlington. Tiziana Cristiano and Meghan Beyer later added run-scoring hits for the Vikings as they took the lead for good.
Cristiano had an inside-the-park homer earlier in the game and drove in three runs for North Arlington. Beyer had two RBI. Danica Krawczyk struggled in the early going for the Vikings, allowing a total of five runs in the second and third innings. But the junior settled down after that, blanking Clifton the rest of the way to earn the win. Hannah Hirst had a two-run double for the Mustangs and Devyn Pitak contributed an RBI single. Clifton would drop both of its games at the Clifton Invitational to fall to 6-6 on the season. North Arlington would follow up this win with a victory over Memorial of West New York later in the day and is now 6-4 overall.
