Riding a fast start, the Ramapo boys' basketball team cruised to its second win of the new season. The Green Raiders built a 24-point lead by halftime and went on to defeat West Milford, 70-51.

Jason Oppler led the young Ramapo squad with 19 points. K.C. Hunt scored 15 points in the game, played at Ramapo College as part of the annual Randy Chave Memorial Classic.

Kyle Hroncich added eight points for the Raiders, while John Whooley and Pete Gostkowski had seven points apiece.

West Milford tried to rally in the third quarter, opening the period with a 13-3 run. But the Highlanders never got any closer, and Ramapo ended the quarter on a 9-0 run to salt the game away.

Josiah Basket led West Milford with 18 points. Zack Licursi added 10 for the Highlanders, who fall to 0-2.

Ramapo is now 2-0 heading into a big match-up with Hackensack.
