7) One of the more unlikely results of the season came in the Essex County tournament first round. Unheralded Irvington went wild in a game against Montclair Kimberley, scoring seven goals: Click here to see the video! 6) Wayne Hills completed a stunning run to the Passaic County championship with a strong performance in the final, as the Patriots knocked off defending champion Clifton: Click here to see the video! 5) Montclair Kimberley was one of the state's most unpredictable teams in 2013. The Cougars had already upset Seton Hall Prep once, and remarkably they would do it again: Click here to see the video! 4) It was only a first-round game in the Bergen County tournament, but it was a doozy. Glen Rock and Emerson battled back and forth in a contest eventually decided by penalty kicks in the near-dark: Click here to see the video! 3) Delbarton wrote quite a remarkable story this season. After a bit of a slow start, the Green Wave was close to perfect, ending the season with 18 straight shutout wins, including their victory over Pingry in the state final: Click here to see the video! 2) Wayne Hills nearly made another amazing run to a title, reaching the sectional final where it met Northern Highlands. Fittingly, the game went to overtime, and the Highlanders ended a long drought with a dramatic win: Click here to see the video! 1) The Bergen County tournament final was about as nerve-racking as a World Cup match.
