|VIDEO: DePaul makes quick work of Pingry in wrestling sectional final|
DePaul looked like a team in a hurry in its wrestling sectional final matchup with Pingry. The Spartans recorded eight pins, six in under a minute, as they romped to a fourth straight North Non-Public B section title, 70-12.
The Spartans raced out to a 30-0 lead with four pins and a forfeit and had the victory clinched in less than half an hour. The win was more dominant than last year's triumph over the same Pingry squad in the sectional final.
The young Spartans, who feature only two seniors in their lineup, would go on to throw a serious scare into state power Camden Catholic in the Non-Public B final two days later, ending up on the short end of a 42-30 score. It was the latest sign of progress for a team that won a Passaic County title for the first time since 1987.
