Passaic Tech wants a shot at Eastside in the Passaic County Tournament girls' basketball finals. The Bulldogs took a step in that direction by rolling past Wayne Hills, 54-30, in a quarterfinal matchup. Second-seeded Passaic Tech took complete control of the game with an 18-0 run in the second quarter. Brianna Nickson paced the Bulldogs with 15 points, five assists and four steals.
Tamira Easterling had 12 points for Passaic Tech, while Kierona Morton contributed nine points and 10 rebounds. Wayne Hills was led by Brooke Adamchak's 10 points. Taylor Rodriguez scored nine and Amanda LaGuardia added eight. The #7 seed Patriots fall to 7-13. Passaic Tech is now 15-4 overall, and will take on Wayne Valley in the tournament semifinals next weekend.
