A big third-quarter charge brought West Milford from behind to score a girls' basketball victory over Wayne Valley. The Highlanders had an 18-4 edge in that decisive period on their way to the 39-29 win.
Aly Roskowsky led West Milford with 13 points as it avenged one of its few losses this season. Tess Korinko added eight points for the Highlanders, including a pair of key three-pointers during the big run.
Brielle Mulvihill scored seven points and Michaela McLeod added six for the winners.
Wayne Valley led throughout the first half and held a four-point margin at intermission. Lexi Piotrowski had seven points for the Indians, while Sam Vogel and Sam Verrilli scored six points apiece.
West Milford improves to 11-4 this winter. The Highlanders had fallen at home to Wayne Valley in the season opener in December.
Wayne Valley is now 6-8.
