VIDEO: Ridgewood dethrones Bergen Catholic, reaches county final

Top-seeded Ridgewood reached the final of the Bergen County Tournament by knocking out the two-time defending champion. The Maroons rallied from three goals down to defeat Bergen Catholic, 11-9.

Dylan Peabody scored four goals, including three straight as the Maroons stormed back after falling behind 6-3 in the second quarter, and added an assist. Kevin Mollihan also had four goals for the Maroons to go along with two assists.

Cooper Telesco notched a goal and three assists, while Jack Kiernan contributed a goal and two assists. Griffin Peene also scored for Ridgewood.

Teddy Murphy had eight saves and Ben Pounds made seven saves as they split time in the Maroons goal.

For Bergen Catholic, Jeremy Magno scored four goals. Trevor Weingarten, Dwayne Mattushik and Frankie Feaster had a goal and an assist each.

A.J. Anderson and Shane Fable also scored for the fourth-seeded Crusaders, who fall to 9-6 on the season.

Ridgewood defeated Bergen Catholic for the second time this year and is now 13-0. The Maroons face #2 seed Northern Highlands in Saturday's county final.
