Victory escaped the grasp of the St. Joseph boys' lacrosse team in the final seconds of regulation. But Joseph Giles-Harris made sure the Green Knights still came away with an overtime victory. Giles-Harris scored on a solo effort early in the extra session to give St. Joe's a 9-8 win over Wayne Valley. It was his second goal of the game to go along with four assists.
Jack Walsh paced the St. Joe's goal-scoring effort with four scores, while Huestin Herman added two goals. Tom Tornetto made 11 saves for the Green Knights. Billy Crank had two goals and two assists for Wayne Valley, including the goal with about one second left in regulation that tied the game. Austin Shelly scored three goals for the Indians and Brendan Feddema was credited with 15 saves. Wayne Valley falls to 1-2 on the season, while St. Joe's stays unbeaten at 3-0.
