Belleville didn't mind working a little overtime in its key early-season baseball matchup with Caldwell. The game took close to four hours, but it was worth it for the Bucs, who rallied from behind to earn a 14-6 triumph. Dustin Walicky was the hero for Belleville, delivering two key hits as the Bucs erased a three-run deficit after four innings. Walicky had a two-run double in the fifth and a two-run triple in the sixth. Belleville scored 11 runs in the final three innings of the game.
Walicky also pitched two innings of scoreless relief. Wilbert Then had four hits, scored twice and drove in a run for the Bucs, who improve to 3-0. Caldwell's Hunter Smith had a home run and drove in a pair of runs while reaching base four times. John Christopher scored twice for the Chiefs, who fall to 3-1.
