Using a strong balance of running and passing, Bernards built an early lead and rolled to a 35-13 football victory over Rahway. Sebastian Sanchez scored four touchdowns to pace the Mountaineers.

Sanchez rushed for 125 yards and scored three touchdowns on the ground for Bernards. He also caught a touchdown pass from Tyler Baum, who went 8-for-12 on the day for 128 yards and two scores.

Bernards scored on its first two possessions to take a quick 14-0 lead, and built the lead to 28 points before Rahway could break onto the scoreboard.

Jordan Tantleff caught a TD pass for the Mountaineers, while Luke Bowerbank had a big punt return in the first quarter.

Jordan Scott led the Indians offensively, rushing for 167 yards and a touchdown. Zahir Wilder also had a touchdown run. Rahway falls to 1-3.

Bernards is now 3-0 on the season, 2-0 within the Mid-State 38 Mountain Division.
