Nick Goodwin led the offense, while the Wayne Valley defense had another strong effort in the Indians' second game of the 2015 football season. The result was another one-sided victory, a 49-7 road triumph over Tenafly. Goodwin ran for 198 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 100 yards and another score for Wayne Valley. Will Kearney added 48 rushing yards and scored twice, while Ryan Monteyne caught a touchdown pass.
Tenafly scored its only points of the game on a 96-yard touchdown run by Alex Waller early in the second quarter. That dash cut the Tigers' deficit to 14-7, but Wayne Valley responded forcefully. Goodwin ran 80 yards for a touchdown on the first play after the ensuing kickoff to reestablish a two-score edge. The Indians forced punts on the next two possessions and drove for a pair of scores to build a 35-7 halftime lead. Tyler Walther scored the final touchdown for Wayne Valley as it put the game away in the third quarter. The Indians, who defeated rival Passaic Valley 37-0 in their opener, improve to 2-0.
