So far, nothing has stopped Nick Goodwin and the Wayne Valley football team this season. Heavy rain and wind couldn't defeat the Indians either, as they powered to a 28-0 win over West Milford on a stormy night. Goodwin ran for 121 yards and three touchdowns, giving him 10 rushing scores on the season. The senior quarterback also managed to complete three passes in the downpour, including a 23-yard scoring pass to Vinny Tedesco.
Nick Gould had 51 rushing yards and Ryan Monteyne caught two passes for 46 yards. The Wayne Valley defense kept West Milford bottled up all night. Steven White had a pair of sacks and Nick Lisa made 13 tackles. The Highlanders dropped their third straight game after opening the football season with a victory. Wayne Valley, meantime, improves to 4-0 and has allowed only three touchdowns in the four games.
