A five-goal performance by Danny Mullin paced the Lakeland ice hockey team to a 10-4 triumph over Ramapo. Mullin also added an assist for a six-point night as the Lancers remained undefeated early in the season. After Lakeland raced out to a 5-0 lead, including three goals from Mullin, Ramapo scored twice late in the second period to get back in the game. But the Lancers pumped in three goals in the opening minute of the third period to blow the game wide open.
Shane Davison had two goals and three assists for Lakeland. Dan Martin scored once and added two assists, while Michael Reilly and Luke Broderick notched a goal and an assist apiece. Kyle Andreniuk was credited with four assists for the Lancers. Andrew Heck and Jake Joyce added two assists apiece. Stephen Schwab led Ramapo with two goals and an assist. Ben Surat had a goal and an assist, and Zach Van Peenan also scored. With Lakeland outshooting the Green Raiders 47-23, the Ramapo goalies were under siege all night. Cort Fodi had 24 saves and Luke Mutterer made 13 stops after coming into the game Sean Komjian started for Lakeland and had 13 saves. Luke Joyce made six stops in his stint in the game. The Lancers improved to 3-0 on the season and within the Big North Liberty Division. Ramapo falls to 1-1-1.
