In a game marked by physical play and a slew of penalties, Montclair maintained its perfect record with a 4-1 ice hockey win over Robbinsville/Allentown. The Mounties improve to 10-0 on the season. Remy Parker scored twice for Montclair, both times with players off the ice. Parker converted a breakaway on a 4-on-4 situation, then scored on a power play late in the second period to give Montclair a 3-0 lead.
After Robbinsville cut the lead to 3-1 in the third, Kori Conley's power-play goal allowed the Mounties to ice the win. Conley also had an assist. Mike Gerne contributed a goal and an assist as well for Montclair. Brock Bowers had two assists and goalie Ondrej Smalec made 20 saves. John Martin scored the only goal for visiting Robbinsville. Nick Koch made 30 saves for the Ravens, who fall to 7-4. Montclair next returns to NJIHL play, facing Verona/Glen Ridge before a showdown with crosstown rival Montclair Kimberley.
