A day after suffering its first loss of the season, the Wayne Valley boys' volleyball team got back on the winning track by defeating Teaneck. The Indians swept the match in two straight games by scores of 25-12 and 25-21. Danny Sciolaro had 10 kills for Wayne Valley. Mike Foglia racked up nine kills and seven digs, while Matt Widovic had 23 assists and three kills.
David Ahn notched three kills and two blocks and Ryan Bender also had three kills for the Indians. Teaneck battled in the second game, briefly leading at 16-15 before Wayne Valley rallied to pull it out. The Highwaymen are 7-7 on the season. Wayne Valley is 15-1. The Indians were undefeated until a tough three-game loss to Fair Lawn, but hope to see the Cutters again in the upcoming state tournament.
