On Senior Day for the Montclair Kimberley boys' lacrosse team, a pair of seniors who just happen to share the same last name came through for the Cougars. Joe Strain scored the tying and winning goals for MKA as it pulled out a tight 3-2 win over Glen Rock. His brother Rob, the Cougars' goalie, made eight saves to backstop a terrific defensive effort by the MKA defense.
Ryan Dancy also scored for the Cougars, who never led until the fourth quarter. Eric Spada and Liam Horton had the goals for Glen Rock. Michael Gallo made nine saves for the Panthers. Joe Strain tied the game for MKA just before the horn to end the third quarter on a solo move. He then took on the defense again early in the fourth quarter for what would prove to be the winning goal. The win pushes MKA's record to 11-4, while Glen Rock falls to 9-7.
