VIDEO: Princeton Day holds off MKA to win Prep title | ||

The Princeton Day boys' lacrosse team held on to a one-goal lead for 12 nerve-racking minutes to secure the Prep B state title. The Panthers held Montclair Kimberley scoreless for the entire fourth quarter to pull out the 6-5 triumph. The win allowed Princeton Day to cap its season with its second trophy. The Panthers also won their first-ever Mercer County title just a few days earlier; this was the fourth Prep title in program history.
Elon Tuckman and Jonah Tuckman scored two goals apiece for PDS. Coby Auslander had a goal and an assist and Joseph Levine also scored. Goalie Connor Green made nine saves to backstop a terrific defensive effort by the Panthers. Jason Gertz scored twice for MKA. Joe Strain notched a goal and two assists. Max Hall had a goal and an assist for the Cougars and Ryan Dancy also scored. Goalie Rob Strain came up with 11 saves for second-seeded MKA, which fell to 12-5 heading into the NJSIAA state tournament. Princeton Day, which is not an NJSIAA school, finishes its season at 15-1.
