VIDEO: Teaneck tears past Dickinson for triumph | ||

Teaneck's football team enjoyed a night like it hadn't experienced in a half-dozen years in its game against Dickinson of Jersey City. The Highwaymen dominated in all aspects of the game in a 38-0 shutout triumph. Behind a balanced running attack, a couple of big pass plays and a stifling defense, Teaneck rolled to its largest margin of victory since the 2010 season. Six different players scored touchdowns for the Highwaymen.
Jamaal Carr only completed a handful of passes on a windy night at Caven Point, but two of them went for touchdowns. The senior quarterback threw a beautiful 57-yard scoring pass to Corey Gordon, then followed up with a 35-yard TD strike to Steven Emery. Carr also added a rushing touchdown on a sneak. Fullback Aaron Clark broke off a 62-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, after DeAndre Grange opened the scoring by racing into the end zone on a sweep. Backup quarterback Cortney Perry added a late touchdown to complete the victory. Defensively, Teaneck never allowed Dickinson inside its 35-yard line as it posted a shutout for the first time in five seasons. Dickinson falls to 1-7 on the season; the Rams face Newark East Side in their regular-season finale. Teaneck is now 2-5 and goes up against Indian Hills in its next contest.
