For the third time this season, Oak Knoll came out on top against Kent Place in field hockey. The third time proved to be the most impressive victory for the Royals, who rolled to a 4-0 decision to capture a sectional title. Gabby Andretta scored twice and added an assist to lead the powerful Oak Knoll offense. Ali McCarthy contributed a spectacular reverse-stick goal and also had an assist.
Kayleigh Wolff notched the first goal of the North Non-Public final for the Royals. Elizabeth Denehy got a pair of assists. Jordan McGinley stopped six shots to earn the shutout in the game played at Summit High School. Isla Okkinga had nine saves for Kent Place. The Dragons, who lost by a single goal in the two previous meetings with Oak Knoll, finish the season at 14-4-1. Oak Knoll has won 13 consecutive games and is now 21-2. The Royals look to capture the Non-Public state championship this weekend when they meet Bishop Eustace.
