Kevin Hoehn poured in 26 points to lead the way as Morristown bounced back from a tough loss with a 56-40 boys' basketball victory over Morris Knolls. Hoehn sank five three-pointers as the Colonials led nearly the entire way. Morristown managed to win despite failing to score a basket for a stretch of nine minutes in the second half. But the Colonials hit 16 free throws during that period while continuing to play solid defense, allowing them to maintain a double-digit lead.
Luke Haralampoudis scored 12 points for Morristown. Morris Knolls led briefly late in the first quarter, but quickly fell behind by nine points and never got closer than five the rest of the way. Christian Bornemann led the Golden Eagles with 12 points and Kareem Paton scored six. Morristown, the fourth seed in the upcoming Morris County Tournament, is now 9-3. Morris Knolls, which slips to 7-5, will be the 10th seed in the MCT and hosts a preliminary round game this Friday.
