Ramapo played strong defense and got enough on the offensive side of the court to earn its second win over Northern Highlands of the boys' basketball season. The Green Raiders allowed just 20 points in the first three quarters and went on to post a 48-40 triumph.

K.C. Hunt scored a game-high 14 points for Ramapo, which never trailed after the first quarter. John Whooley had 10 points, Jason Oppler scored eight, and Peter Gostkowski and Andrew Curcura added six apiece.

After Northern Highlands cut the Ramapo lead to four early in the fourth quarter, the Raiders scored the next 10 points to essentially wrap up the game. Despite some sloppy play in the final two minutes, Ramapo held on to even its season record at 11-11.

Northern Highlands got 12 points from Kevin Griffith and 10 points from Ryan Starr. The Highlanders are now 8-11 overall.
