Regaining some of its swagger from earlier in the season, the Ramapo boys' basketball team won its final game before the start of the state playoffs. Even with top scorer Matt Latka out sick, the Green Raiders topped a tough Montclair Immaculate squad, 58-51.

It took Ramapo a quarter to get things going, but once it did, the Green Raiders' offense started to click. Ramapo erased a five-point deficit to take a halftime lead, and pushed that margin to 13 points in the final quarter.

In Latka's absence, Ramapo relied on a balanced scoring attack. Ryan Curtiss led the way with 14 points, while Jason Oppler scored 11.

K.C. Hunt put up nine points for the Green Raiders. Keith Woetzel and Joe O'Hagan added eight points apiece.

Jalen Carey paced Montclair Immaculate with 17 points. De'journ Cook scored 10 for the Lions.

Montclair Immaculate, now 15-9, plays one more regular-season game before opening state tournament play with a home game against Christ the King Prep.

Ramapo won't play again until its state tournament opener against Tenafly next Monday. The Raiders finish the regular season 22-3.
