Lakeland continued its perfect start to the ice hockey season by overcoming an undermanned but scrappy Ramapo team. The Lancers pulled out a 5-2 victory behind two goals apiece from Michael Reilly and Danny Mullin. Outshooting Ramapo 47-15, Lakeland still only led the Green Raiders 3-2 in the third period. But Mullin's second goal, tipping in a shot by Alex Noonan, gave the Lancers some breathing room. An empty-net goal from Andrew Heck provided the final margin.
Reilly scored Lakeland's first and third goals as the Lancers built a 3-0 lead. But Ramapo scored twice in the latter half of the second period to crawl back into the game. Goalie Cort Fodi kept things interesting until the end by making 42 saves in a terrific performance for the Green Raiders. Michael Pear and Alex Pazos had the goals for Ramapo. The Raiders fall to 1-3-2 on the season. Jake Joyce and Kyle Andreniuk had two assists apiece for Lakeland. Sean Komjian made 13 saves. The Lancers are now 6-0.
