Even after nearly two full seasons of perfection, Ryan Harrington still had some doubters heading into the state wrestling finals in Atlantic City. But the Mendham senior answered any questions with an impressive run to his second straight state championship. Harrington captured the 170-pound title with a 7-3 win in the final against Steve Nelson of Haddon Township. Besides winning two straight state crowns, Harrington was unbeaten for the last two seasons, going a combined 84-0. Even more amazing, Harrington did not surrender a single takedown for the past two years. The first multiple state titlist in Mendham High School wrestling history, Harrington will move on to the University of North Carolina in the fall.
