The Lenape Valley boys' soccer team put forth a solid effort in its first game in the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex tournament. Ranked as the #2 seed among Sussex County schools, the Patriots posted a 3-0 shutout of Warren Hills.

Connor Ciaraffo scored twice for Lenape Valley to lead the offensive attack. Jeremy Nowling added a goal and an assist, while Andres Gomez and Alberto Montalva also contributed assists.

Warren Hills, the 7th seed on the Hunterdon/Warren side, got nine saves from goalie Nick Gagliano. The Blue Streaks are 5-8-1.

Lenape Valley next meets Hackettstown in the H/W/S event; the Tigers won in a shootout after a 1-1 tie with Vernon on Saturday. All of the top four seeds won in the first round, including top Sussex County seed Newton. The only upset of the day saw North Warren knock off Sparta, 2-1.
