Bergen Catholic wasn't entirely comfortable playing on grass, and the Crusaders were also missing a key offensive player. That turned the game against Wayne Valley into a "grind", but BC found a way to emerge victorious. A goal by Peter Berkanish midway through the second half provided the only scoring as Bergen Catholic edged the Indians, 1-0.
Despite the unfamiliar footing, the Crusaders created more chances during the contest, but hit the woodwork a couple of times. Wayne Valley goalie Ben French made five saves. The Indians' best chances came in the first half, forcing a pair of key saves by BC goalkeeper Trevor Nicol. Bergen Catholic is now 4-2 while Wayne Valley falls to 2-4.
