With a big surge to start the fourth quarter, the Don Bosco Prep boys' basketball team brought an end to a two-game losing skid. The Ironmen broke open a tie game and went on to a 69-58 road triumph over Wayne Valley. Marcellus Earlington paced Don Bosco with 22 points. His three-point play started a 14-4 run for the Ironmen that allowed them to take control of the contest.
Omar Mostafa scored 15 points, highlighted by a trio of three-pointers in the second quarter. Brandon Anderson scored 11 points, while Chris Paul had a pair of key fourth-quarter buckets among his seven points. Wayne Valley led after one quarter, but fell behind by six in the third period. The Indians rallied to tie the game 42-42 heading to the fourth. Alex Kokos led Wayne Valley with 18 points. Nick Giuliano had 17 points and Nick Goodwin scored 14 for the Indians. It's just the second loss of the season for Wayne Valley, which is now 9-2. Don Bosco improves to 12-2 with the victory.
