Barrett scored off an assist from Kailey Dalgauer with four minutes left in overtime. That allowed Hunterdon Central, the fourth seed in the Hunterdon/Warren side of the bracket, to knock out Lenape Valley, the top-seeded team in the Sussex half of the bracket.
Dalgauer scored the Red Devils' previous goal, in the second half. Hannah Cechini had seven saves for Hunterdon Central. Kassidy Forik scored Lenape Valley's goal and Patriots' netminder Kaylee Gentilucci made seven saves. Because of the unusual seeding format used by the H/W/S tournament, this result wasn't as big an upset as the seeds would suggest. Hunterdon Central came in with an 8-4 record while Lenape Valley entered the game with a 9-3 mark.
