The Robbinsville Little League softball girls are returning to Portland for a second straight World Series. This following their nailbiting, 3-2 comeback win Friday night over Pennsylvania (Exton Little League) in the East Region Championship game. First baseman Olivia Moser broke a 2-2 tie in the top of the 5th inning with her go-ahead RBI that plated Shea Walsh. Just hours earlier, Moser drove in four of Rville?s seven runs in a 7-0 semifinal shutout of Suffern, New York. If you still have that ?Exporting Champions Worldwide? shirt from four years ago, it?s time to bust it out in celebration once again as Robbinsville, the town of 14,000 people is the first municipality in the United States to send a softball squad to the World Series four times in a seven year span. We have highlights of both the semifinal and final games from the Regional tournament, courtesy of our friends at Mid Jersey Sports. |
