VIDEO: Fair Lawn tops Butler to win peewee Super Bowl
Written by - Sunday, November 29 2015

A tremendous defensive effort and a pair of touchdown runs by Jadin Johnson led Fair Lawn to its second straight Peewee Super Bowl win in the Tri-County Youth Football League. The Cutters defeated Butler/Bloomingdale 12-0 to capture the title.

Johnson scored on a 24-yard touchdown run in the first quarter to put Fair Lawn ahead. After a key defensive stand inside the 10-yard line, Johnson struck for a 75-yard TD run to make it 12-0 at the half.

The Cutters missed their chances to put the game away in the second half due to three lost fumbles. But each time, the defense came up big, stopping Butler/Bloomingdale and taking over on downs.

The Bulldogs, who only lost to Fair Lawn during the season, finished the year at 7-2.

A number of players on the Fair Lawn team were part of last year's Peewee championship squad as well. Besides Johnson, the repeat winners are Luke Biello, Matt Daly, Nathan Marx, Cooper Peck, Mikey Scancarella, Austin Van Why and Anthony Zunno.

Also part of this championship team: Connor Denny, Kaden Irby-Mason, Dominic Campanile, Jacen Reyes, Travis Colaianni, Ryan Perry, Kyle Ludzki, Alex Dominguez, Tyler Tsai, Tyler Coban, Ty Christianson, Jake Rickett, Ryan Feinstein, Miguel Visbal and Gabe Keylin.

The full game of this Super Bowl can be seen on Fair Lawn TV, Channel 77 on Optimum and Channel 37 on FiOS, starting soon. For the sports video highlights of the football game, click play in the box at left.
